Finland

I just stumbled accross a great introduction to Finland. It’s always nice to know a few facts about places you are visiting and this blog provides plenty of those. It also shows how good a well written blog can be. Maybe one day…

If you’re interested here’s some more good links…

Not sure I like the sound of Finnish beer..

“That night, in a converted public toilet, I ordered a pint, then asked the barman to keep an eye on it while I went to withdraw my life savings from the cashpoint. Any thought of a one-man Withnail-esque road trip had evaporated as quickly as the barman could say: ‘That’ll be £5 for the beer, sir.’ “

These boots were made for walking…

…and that’s just what I’ll do! (OK, so they’re trainers) But I’ve finally booked myself a one-way ticket to anoother funny named European town. Yes, It’s almost two years later than I planned but just think how lucky you are to have had me around 🙂

I’m not sure why but, this time i’m heading North. Actually North-East and I will be crash landing in Tampere (Finland) on the 10th June. I’m quite excited about this although, I don’t actually know much about the place. However, they like saunas and I like saunas so we’re doing well so far and the country that gave us the Moomin trolls can’t be that bad. Beyond this I have no plans so, if you have any suggestions or you want me to check anything out then, you know what to do.

In fact, I think I’m going to set somthing up so people can make suggestions and set me some tasks – i’m not a big fan of tour guides. You find it and i’ll try and visit it.

Apenheul photographs

Did you go to Apenheul? If so, you are probably looking for some photos, right? Well, you’ve found the right place but unfortunately I haven’t found the time to upload any just yet but please bookmark this link or return to this page in the next couple of days and I hope to have them ready for you.

In case you missed my Dads email, this is the one he cc’d me on…

“Dear all,

Just to say that we have a selection of photographs from Apenheul for
you to see.

I think it would be great if we shared a wide range of shots from
different people and I therefore suggest that you send up to 6 or so of
your nicest shots for inclusion on a web page where everyone can see
them. Please send electronic pics to my son at:

Ian@bearder.com

and he will load them onto the http://www.bearder.com web site for
everyone to view!”

Thanks Dad 😉

The mobile photo blogger!

Eddy takes photo with his photo-phone, Eddy creates an email (on his
phone) and sends it to flicker.com, flicker.com works it’s magic and
makes it look like this, flicker has a word with blogger.com (something
like ‘oi, add this to Eddy’s blog’), blogger.com works it’s magic and
adds the post, blogger.com connects to bearder.com, bearder.com accepts
it with a smile, you hit bearder.com, bearder.com gives you everything
you’ve ever wanted! …well this page anyway.

Yes, it makes my head hurt too!
