Leaving Poland and a Moldovan chap asked me to ‘help Ukraine’…

…because “they need a lot of help”.

I walked away and chuckled about how offended the Ukrainians would be to hear this coming from a Moldovan. I think it’s what they call ‘poetic justice’.

Anyway, I’m leaving Wroclaw and although I’ve only been here for two days – I’ve completely fallen for the place. Its beautiful, colourful, interesting, quirky and covered in funny brass gnomes, bears, farm animals and strange horses.

I haven’t been to Poland for about 8 years, ever since an aborted attempt at hiking ended with me getting heartily drunk with the Zakapone mountain rescue team. If I’m honest, I wasn’t really expecting much from this visit, but I was wrong. Poland (Wroclaw at least) is very cool.
