The 15-month long conflict in Sudan’s western province of Darfur has produced what the United Nations is calling “the worst humanitarian crisis in the world”.
That’s right “Worst in the world”. So, this should be headline news right? Wrong. Is it being shown on our evening news? Are we set ready to invade on humanitarian grounds? No. In fact the conflict hardly even registers on the BBC news ‘Africa’ homepage (see above picture).
