We visited my aunty the other weekend (don’t tell anyone but she’s 50!!) and look what she did – she acupunctured me!. Can you spot the needle? Don’t listen to anyone who says it doesn’t hurt – it does. It’s like cutting your leg off with a blunt spoon. Don’t let that apparent grin fool you – I was just being a man in front of the camera.

…only joking – it’s not bad, but maybe I shouldn’t look so happy!

“I think it means that the Middle East will go on being bloody and violent, al Qaida will continue to grow, Iraq a quagmire, no progress in the settlement of Israel-Palestine, the UN weakened, lack of attention to poverty in Africa and global warming – a bad time for the world,” Claire Short – Channel 4 News.

“Well it looks like another 4 years of hearing about WMD…”

“What has been demonstrated here is the power of the uneducated voter. Many allowed partisan propaganda to affect their decision without looking into the candidates properly. The President is the “President”, not a drinking buddy or a pal. Personally, I am dreading the next four years under Bush. Way to go guys!”

“He is hated all over the world, including large parts of Texas, and he is taking us all down with him. Bush is a natural-born loser with a filthy-rich daddy who pimped his son out to rich oil-mongers. He hates music, football and sex, and he is no fun at all.”

“So how did Bush even get this far? By demonising an entire group of people — gays and lesbians. By cynical appeals to religion. By slandering a true war hero. And, most importantly, by scaring people. You see, terrorists would detonate a nuclear bomb in a major city if Kerry were elected. Only Bush can protect us.

And those efforts, as I have written before, were all aided and abetted by a well-oiled message machine the likes of which the American left is still unable to match.”

Well, despite the best efforts of younger Bearder it’s not looking too good in the US. Reading the comments here and it’s pretty clear who the rest of the world wanted, or should I say – didn’t want!
